Housing

In the Queen 1, hawos quality is concealed in a solid multiplex housing made of beech, in the Billy 100 of birch (. With multiplex, the running direction of each layer is rotated by 90° and glued under extremely strong pressure. The resulting high stability is complemented by the elastically embedded grinding mechanism to create a functional and pleasantly quiet mill that fits perfectly into any modern kitchen!

Finish

Vegetable oil protects the finish and gives the mills a satin sheen.

Grinding chamber

The grinding chamber is made of food-safe plastic. It is directly connected to the motor as a single unit and hangs in the housing on a soft rubber ring, without mechanical fastening.

Price comparison

Beech is harder than birch. The price for multiplex in beech is correspondingly higher. This is how the slightly higher price than for Billy 100 comes about.
