Proven grinding mechanism as in electric Grain Mills

Even in the large hawos hand Grain Mill "Rotare", hawos uses grindstones made of corundum ceramic, for good reason: they are rougher, harder and more durable than grindstones made of Naxos basalt in magnesite bond ( cement ). Thanks to the rougher finish, the grain is ground more than pulverised. Grinding is relatively easy.

Ground size and grinding capacity

All dry cereals such as wheat, rye, barley, oats, etc. can be ground. Oil seeds (e.g. linseed, sesame) can be mixed with wheat or spelt and ground on a fine setting Oil seeds cannot be ground pure with the hand mill, not even on a coarse setting. At 100 revolutions, the mower manages approx. 50 g of grain on the coarse setting and approx. 25 g on the fine setting. The ball-bearing crank turns easily and without squeaking.

Design

Typical hawos: Simple shapes with soft edges (strongly rounded). The design is purist. There is no superfluous component that could be omitted without sacrificing performance and comfort.

Handling

The hand mill is maintenance-free when used properly. It cleans itself during the grinding process. As with all electric and manually operated Grain Mills, if the ground material is too moist or too oily, the grindstones may become clogged and obstruct the ejection. So if no more flour is ejected, immediately set to very coarse and continue grinding slowly. However, if the grindstones need to be cleaned, this is no problem with Molere. It can be opened very easily by loosening the wing nuts and removing the front grindstone with the carrier plate, without tools. The adjustment of the flour fineness is also done by turning the two wing nuts.

Sonstige Besonderheiten

Two steel clamps ensure that the hawos hand Grain Mill molle is absolutely stable on the table, even during grinding.

A stainless steel plate is screwed on under the grindstone. It can be bent so far forward for better flour guidance that no flour falls onto the edge of the collecting glass or next to it.
