The cabinet in beech or walnut
Grindstones made of natural stone granite
The granite carefully selected by AGRISAN is completely natural in origin and offers properties that have now been proven for over 35 years in Salzburg Grain Mills:
Each pair of stones is unique! With extreme precision, the two grindstones must be matched to each other. Without exception, each mill is test-ground several times, and only when the flour fineness meets AGRISAN's strict specifications does it leave the factory as a genuine SALZBURGER GRAIN MILL
The grinding mechanism
The elastic bearing of the grindstones brings 2 advantages:
Funnel and Gr. Chamber of course made of wood
Funnel and Gr. Chamber of the MT 5 are also made of solid beech wood (MT 5 in beech and walnut). In the Gr. Chamber, the wood of the mill is subjected to the greatest stress. The grindstone grinds the grain with great force and flings the flour outwards against the Gr. Chamber wall. Abrasion from the Gr. Chamber wall can get into your flour - which is why Salzburger does not use plastic as a material, but only solid, natural, untreated and above all hard wood: beech. Natural beech wood is known to have an antibacterial effect and behaves antistatically. As a logical consequence, the MT 5's flour ejector is also made of solid wood and encased in stainless steel.
The coarse/fine setting
The coarse/fine adjustment determines the distance between the grindstones. These should be exactly parallel to each other, regardless of which distance you choose. If this is not the case, it will no longer be possible to produce the finest flour.
The coarse-fine setting can be operated with one hand. Proven over 30 years! Thanks to a perfect technical solution, the grindstones lie flat for the life of the mill (no thread, only lifting and lowering of the lower grindstone). Each fineness level is infinitely adjustable - even during grinding.
The motor
The special industrial motor is built exclusively for "DIE SALZBURGER GETREIDEMÜHLE" and will do its job for years.
