The new (2024) electric grain flaker from Austria
The sheltered workshop in Tyrol is once again demonstrating what it can achieve with its employees, people with disabilities, at the highest technical level. Following on from the 'Millenia' grain mill, the first analogue and digital grain mill, the "Futuria" flake crusher was developed as an electric or manual flaker to meet the demand for 'everything to do with grain'.
The result: a flaker whose innovative design fits into the modern kitchen and modern nutrition-conscious diet.
The housing
Robust, heavy and solid, the housing does not appear cumbersome or clumsy, but rather elegant and appealing with its curved sides. The funnel is cleverly integrated into the simple design. It holds up to 300 grams of cereals and grains. The porcelain bowl supplied fits snugly into the recess under the flake ejector.
Crushing mechanism
Behind the removable front panel, which is held in place by four magnets, is the crushing mechanism with two ribbed stainless steel rollers. It can be easily removed without tools. A small bristle brush is included for cleaning. Unfortunately, the pressure or degree of fineness cannot be adjusted.
Crushed material
According to the operating instructions, it can be crushed:
The Drive
An economical motor with only 120 watts is enough to crush about 100 grams of grain into flakes.
test
Because the crushing mechanism is very similar to that of Waldner LISA, we were not surprised by the result of the flakes: beautiful, evenly fine oatmeal with the typical notches in the flakes.

Variants
The Futuria E1 is available in three types of wood: beech, pine or walnut.
